Melbournian Mammals, previously known as Melbournian Moggies, is a series featuring Australian animals (not just mammals, but we do love a good alliteration) in Melbourne. These furry and feathered friends are enjoying all that Melbourne has to offer in Degraves Street, Hosier Lane, Flinders Street Station and the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV).

Fun Fact!

In 2018, Elvedee launched Melbournian Moggies. A series of Melbourne themed illustrations, with our favourite and longstanding anthropomorphic cat character (the Fluff), interacting with the scene.

Melbournian Moggies illustrations were printed onto tea towels, tote bags, fine art prints, cards and postcards. The designs included Luna Park, Degraves Street, Hosier Lane, Flinders Street Station and the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground).

Unfortunately for the Melbournian Moggies range, not everyone is a cat lover (?!), and we received several requests for the Melbourne scenes without the cats. We saw this as an opportunity to expand the line and to expand our character line, and thus Melbournian Mammals was born.
